Amplify Women's Cicle

I finally made it for Women's Circle!! couldn't make it the last 2 rounds cos i had to close the cc! yar tell me about it... anywayz... yar i think the last time i attended women's circle was like during Joel's Bridal shower?? OMG! that's like 2 years ago lah!!!


I was just talking to Jules in Amp Room last week as we looked at some old photos (those hung near the door)... and we were just reminiscing the old times, not say very long ago lah... like 2 years back... how much fun we had and all...



Lyd: Gosh! Look at that! Dot had short hair! This photo was taken during Dot's Birthday @ Miss Clarity last year rite?

Jules: Yar! and look at that! your ah ma's wedding!


Lyd: omg! look at the both of us! dressing like ching chong china women during Mid Autumn 2 years ago!!! aiyor...


Jules: look! this is my favourite photo... Joel's Bridal Shower... this photo is on the wall of my workspace lah!


Lyd: pls... this photo is both at my work station and my room lor... aiyor so pretty! we were all in pink and purple!!!!


Lyd: I KNOW LIAO! let's come in pink or/and purple for the coming women's circle!!!

Goodness gracious! Josie's mum prepared Chocolate Fondue for all of us... !!! Though it was a distraction.. yes yes... everyone focused on eating initially... but it was GOOD STUFF!

The theme of our sharing was "women in ministry", something very close to our hearts and we could all relate to each other as the sharing went deeper...


Josie facilitated the session and after we all were done sharing about What Ministry meant to us, Josie threw the question about Struggles or Challenges we face in Ministry/ Work/ Life/ Friendship etc...


thank goodness i wasn't the first to share... haha! allowed me some time to think it through... and as the girls were sharing, about their workplace/ colleagues... a lot went through my head...


i was just thinking about my girly friends... and about how much we've drifted apart and how difficult it is for me to relate to them as i got more and more involved in ministry...


in ministry, it's just so easy... relating to each other and really... i have to say, Amplify is like my 2nd home... it's a big part of my life!! from time to time, we're just encouraging each other, affirmations flying all around... and i know i can count on the community... ANYTIME!


And i was sharing how it hurts sometimes, the many difficult times i face, connecting to my girly friends, cos they don't know what i'm talking about whenever i try to talk to them about God.. and it's just so difficult breaking God's word in such an environment...


As much as i wanna bring them to Him and they know i'm like the "super siao on church goer", whole life revolve around church... it's just tough... and it does hurt


yup and struggles about trying not to gossip at work and all...
but sometimes u just need to CHER BA BOOM and just bitch... haha! Jesus, forgive me!


and YES! another struggle... READ! Daph was like HUH??


Lyd: yar read...

Lyd: read lah! i dun like to read!


Flo: yar she got very short attention span one...


Cass: daph! not everyone nerd like u lah... yar she dun like to read one..


and so.. yeah and i really appreciate the "God Chicks" book and the monthly "word amoung us" cass and flo bought me when i shared with them about me, not liking to read...



and everyday i tell myself... how not to read? how? u just got to do it Lydia!


it just hasn't been quite a habit since young i guess... it's just not in me! haha! but slowly but surely, i'm beginning to cultivate the habit... lalala...


actually i think reading is ok for me u know? just that i have quite a short attention span and i'll get very random.. haha! my thoughts will run VERY wild... fly all over the place kind...


yar anywayz.. side track a bit... Thelma is da bomb! she can read my mind!!! omg!
ONE LOOK from me and she knows it! wha lao... i'm still damn amused! hahaha!
it's like i give her that ONE LOOK and she will *umchio*... OMG! it's damn amazing and damn funny... dun ask me how we do it.. i also cannot explain!

i was so excited about tonight... Haven't seen EIC perform for the longest time since they took a break from Wala's. Ohh... just found out from Adrian that they took 3 months' break from Wala's, they're back in Wala's again on Friday Nights... A few of us thought they left Wala for good... Pheeeeeew!

Happy and Satisfied with my Erdinger!!! Great music, GREAT company....

It's really nice for the Team to just gather, chill and listen to how secular bands play, I think we should do that more often!

Tooth Fairy Part 2

Root Canal part 2... It's not over...

I went to get my tooth filled up in the morning...
had to endure more aches than the previous visit but Oh Well, everthing's in control...

Jesus, look upon ur child and place ur Mighty Hand on my tooth!
I kept praying until the whole process was over...

Then..... i found out that if i wanna do a crowning, it's an additional $500...
The $300 mentioned was only taking out the nerve and having the tooth filled!

siao issit? another $500 on top of the $300 i paid hor! Madness....
