we love to eat Part II 12 July

Ok this is weird... i dont know how to start blogging this entry! hahaha... cos i'm trying really hard to recall what we did by looking at the photos...

hmmmm.. oohh we planned the itinerary for the week after conference, which was suppose to be our travel week like straight after the conference and we were suppose to go photo taking on the 12th!

I made an appointment with Lyn Lyn (the rocker chic who is my cousin, and her name's Marilyn) and cute lil' Nathlene at Paddy's cos she wanted to show me the Tshirt my brother wanted... so that i could buy it for him... some Dream Theatre Tshirt... i have no idea what Dream Theatre is, apparently it's my brother's favourite rock band.. which i never heard of! oh wellz... nvm i'll just get it for him since Marilyn says he likes it...

Marilyn and my brother are like best friends! gosh... Imagine this 16 year old teenage girl and a 23 year old guy, talking on msn every other day at different parts of the globe about rock bands? yar apparently Marilyn could tell me which Dream Theatre Tshirt my brother has already!!! so that i wont buy the same one.. yes she even knows my brother's wardrobe! haha!

That morning, all of us were running our own errands in Paddy's... i think Grace and Flo went Cotton On for more "cotton on-ing raid" hahaha! i dunno where the rest went.. but we were doing some last minute shopping since it was Thursday already!

We met after our shopping and the plan was to cheong to Hyde Park and St Mary's Cathedral to take photos!

Met up with the rest with the 2 girls!!



Grace loves little children! noooo actually everyone loves Nathlene!!

Bern finally met Marilyn! cos i've been telling him Marilyn plays basically all the instruments in the world... omg! she's a prodigy! she plays electric guitz, bass, drumns and keys! she can form one band by herself already!

We parted with the girls at Paddy's and we went off to do the tourist thing. TAKE PHOTOS! ok i dunno what park this is but i love this photo lah! we look like we're in some part of London! haha!

ok i still dunno where this place is behind us but we were looking at Hyde Park from where we stood! like in front of us... walk somemore is Hyde Park liao!

and this is the fountian in HydePark i think! ITHINK!

and we parked ourselves opposite St Mary's Cathedral to have our lunch and laid down on the grass! omg so shiok lah! i almost fell asleep!

i see skies of blueeee and clouds of whiteeeeee.... oooooh what a wonderful world!!!

and we started singing... i think i sang "what a wonderful world" with the wrong lyrics! ahhaha! and Grace asked me to sing "captivate us"... sing sing sing... and heehore did some harmonising... lalalaaaaa... and i think we sang "Amazed" too... what else... hmm can't remember! haha!

we were just random singing!

i tell u we could just lie there all day... but cannot! we will never make it to our next stop and it was getting late!

we finally got our act together and moved our butts!

it was 369 days to World Youth Day 2008!

just in case u are wondering, i wouldnt have taken such a nice shot in an artistic angle! CHARLENE DID! that's the difference... she's a designer and i'm not! i got no "perspective"! haha! ohh and Charlene was making the rest of us pose here pose there the whole trip... ok lah not the whole trip!

she will go : ok Grace u stand here! Flo u stand there... ok Thelma stand in front of Bern!

i'm still in awe of the beauty though it's like my 3rd time here at the Cathedral...

And... we took a bus to Newtown...

to catch the shops before they close!

Ohhhh and we realised... the shops didnt close at 5! cos it was Thurs Late Nite Shopping! wahhh heng ar!

We headed back to the city in the evening... Grace and Bern went to catch a play at the Opera House while the rest of us girls met up with Mel, Ryan, Kenny and Tan Ann Joo for dinner...

We met up with Kenny first at QVB, so might as well go in there to take some photos! hahaha... since we havent been there yet!

and again, i didnt take this shot! CHARLENE DID! haha!

It was still early and wasn't time for us to meet Tan Ann Joo yet... He could only meet us at 9? I think he had some wedding rehearsal or something!

So.. while waiting, we went to Lindt Cafe at Darling Harbour to have some hot chocolate and waffles! it was omg good! but not as good as Max Brenner! haha!

Charlene totally lost her mind when she ate the chocolate! i think she too deprived already! she was sick leh... still can eat so much chocolate omg! and she started rambling! she's a goner! she was high on chocolate!

gosh... i was quite full actually from the dessert... yar we had dessert before dinner! haha.. siaoness!

Met Mel & Ryan and the TAJ at i dunno where... i think hmmm somewhere in the city lah.. and went for korean food!

yay! we finally had a table! it was 9plus already leh... still so packed... ok the place was a bit small though, that's why

wahhhh everything was super yummy lah..

EVERYTHING!!

And we went t0 eat somemore! omg! like eating with a vengence! kena starved during Conference week so we need to pay it back! omg omg!

it was Dessert, Dinner, then Dessert again! we went Passion Flower to have ice cream!

we had Lychee with Rose Petals Ice cream!

theirs had Tang Yuen in it!

i think theirs was some pineapple thingy...

omg i can't believe this... we're eating and eating non stop the whole nite.. but yar i'm happy! hahaha! i love to eat!

it was our 2nd last day in Sydney and yay! here we are at Bronte Beach!

Oh my goodness!! Bronte Beach is sooo beautiful......!!!! It's just beside Bondi and we took our walk down Bronte to Bondi beach...

Though we were gonna be late... we couldn't walk without stopping! cos we simply had to take tonnes of pictures!!! couldn't resist the beauty of nature, created by the mighty God i love... i was just awestrucked & speechless... enjoying every minute of it!

Here we are at Bondi!!! yayyyyy...

we met mel and ryan at bondi and we headed for lunch at Fish Monger for some really nice fish & chips! Ohhhh and Thelma bought this drink... initially i was like errr ok i dont want a drink... after stealing a sip, OK i wanna get one... good stuff!!

And apparently, Charlene the Ongster told us few days ago that she saw this brand of drink at the pharmacy of Tan Tock Seng Hospital!!!

i have no idea why they're selling it in such a strange place but nevertheless, PRAISE THE LORD! now i know where to get it in Singapore!!

TAJ and Kenny joined us after lunch and omg! we had fried mars bar! it was like omg delicious!! better than the one in Chippy! anyway i had a bad experience with Chippy fried mars bar!! i shall not go into that...

and guess what??? we had to go all the way to Sydney to meet Adriel!! Singapore cannot meet leh.. must go until so far...

and then... we headed for dinner... at Hurricane! omg... kenny had been warning me that the ribs there are SUPER HUGE... it's like ONE HUGE SLAB kind... and Andrew Tan calls it barbaric food! and he was all geared up in his "barbaric" clothes, all ready to eat the ribs....

Look!!! Ongster & Flo had bibs around their neck!!!

and i refused to put on one myself! hahhaha... dont want ! so embarassing!

it was sooooooper cold that nite... after the dinner, we went back down to the city, wanting to find a place to chill out... gosh i really need to blog about this episode!!!


So Ah Gu (Christine Gan) drove and obviously couldn't fit all of us in the car, so we had to split TAJ and Kenny since they knew the way to town.. Kenny took a few of them with him to Ah Gu's car and TAJ took Flo, Bern and I to take the bus...


OMG! i knew it lor seriously!!! when we alighted... he was like hmmmm.. He looked quite lost! but he didnt say... he picked up his mobile and I KNEW IT! I KNEW HE WAS CALLING
KENNY FOR HELP! so ok whatever, as long as we can get there!!


wahhh but it was super cold can! and Bern & I were like suuuuuper high tide and we couldn't find any toilets around... THEN! we realise that we kept going in CIRCLES!!!!?!??!??! and i'm like OMG! that Andrew Tan taking us for a spin issit???? like walk round n round ok!!! IN THE COLD!

i was like DYING to get to the place to meet the rest cos i really needed the toilet!!!


OMG! guess what la guess what... i made the mistake by FOLLOWING HIM!!!
while Flo & Bern were behind us...


He crossed the road!!! so i crossed with him....

THEN!!!! he exclaimed leh!!! LOOK!! THEY ARE OPPOSITE!!!!
OMGGGGGGG!!!! then we shouldn't have crossed mah!!!!


wahhhhh no sense of directions??? yar and his name is Andrew Tan!!!


anywayz... we went to one club/ lounge after another and we didnt like any one of them and we finally decided to buy drinks and food and go back to our apartment to chill!! gosh! everyone was like so tired walking around can!!! and there was such a huge sigh of relief in everyone's face
when we finally decided to go back to our apartment! yayyyyyyyy.....


we watched "FOLLOW THE LAW"!! imagine a huge group of Singaporeans... Some Singapore Singaporeans and Australia Singaporeans plus a Malaysia who simply loves the Singapore culture (hahhahahah!!!) all together in one house, LAUGHING AWAY watching something so close to home in a foreign land! it's hilarious to the max!!!
